A FEW WORDS FROM NIQ WITTIG...
"The new song you are hearing is a rough-cut of the new Two Pump Chump single, 'Strugglin'. Bear in mind that this mix in no way represents the final mix for this song or the album for that matter. This is merely a rough-cut to give the fans an idea of the kind of material they can expect to hear on the new album. The interesting thing about this song is that it was the last song written for the album. It was born from an idea that I approached the band with about experimenting with different guitar tunings. I reccomended that we try writing something in drop D. After much trial and error, Traz came to us with this riff. Initially Scott had an idea for lyrics that we were all unsure of, which made me unsure of this song altogether. After Scott re-wrote the lyrics and a full work up from the band it became quite clear to me that this would be the single. This track will fit nicely with the other songs on the album. My ultimate goal with the forthcoming 'Party at the Crib' has always been to create a more cohesive listening experience. Each of the songs we have written for the album will be arranged to bleed nicely into one another to become a great soundtrack to any house party. The title 'Party at the Crib', I took as a challenge to create a great party album. The songs have been written and will be arranged to fit this concept. The new sound that I have prodded the band into capturing, I feel is the best example of Two Pump Chump's talents. 'Party at the Crib' will make 'Deep In The Shag' look like childs play." - Niq Wittig
